Capt. Andy Brosnan

Captain Andy Brosnan
New York
I was born and raised on and near the water. Some of my earliest memories are of being taught proper boat operation and maintenance by my Grandfather and Father. I have operated boats ever since. Having grown up on Skaneateles Lake I sailed, waterskied, and fished my youth away. College brought me to South Florida and I explored the Bays, backwaters, and Atlantic Ocean. During my college years and for 6 years after that I raced Sailboats throughout South Florida. After College and a few years on South Beach it was back to New York where I lived on the Hudson River and Eastern Long Island.
I got my US Coast Guard Master License and operated a 1917 all wooden tour boat on the Hudson. I worked briefly as a Charter Captain aboard both a 42’ and 48’ Viking Sport-fishing yachts off Montauk and to the Canyons South of Long Island.
Currently I work as a Research Vessel Captain with Stonybrook University’s Marine Biology Department. I operate a variety of boats for them.
The bottom line is I know boats and I want to assist you in fulfilling the dream of boat ownership. This begins by getting to know you and helping you determine what you want in a boat.
Please contact me and let’s start the discussion that will lead to you owning the boat of your dreams. Nothing beats the freedom and beauty of being on the water!
